Joint Purchase Feed Development conducts feeding trials on all production animals and has its own experimental barns for dairy cows and slaughter pigs. In addition, national and European research institutions and dedicated livestock producers are used as trial hosts.
Since 2008, Felleskjøpet has tested various concentrates at Mære Agricultural School before launching them on the market. Testing has taken place in the pig house and in the milking barn, and is done under controlled conditions with all or parts of the herds. This is an important step in the development and quality assurance of new concentrates for agriculture.
