We want in the brochure Our Earth and Carbon Storage take a closer look at the organic matter in the soil, and the importance it has in building fertile soil. Increased carbon storage in agricultural soil is considered an important climate measure both nationally and internationally. Increasing the stock of organic matter in the soil through increased photosynthesis appears to be the safest way to increase the carbon supply to the soil. Soil contains up to three times as much carbon as is found in the atmosphere, and it is possible to take more from the atmosphere and store it in the soil via photosynthesis.
